What’s the difference between a Sport Flare and a Pro-Touring Flare Windshield?
The distinction was created to help riders choose the right windshield based on how and where they ride their Road Glide.
Sport Flare Windshields are shorter with a more aggressive profile. They are a great fit for riders who spend more time around town, heading to bike nights, local events, and shorter rides where style and performance go hand in hand.
Pro-Touring Flare Windshields are our taller options. They are designed for riders who put serious miles on their motorcycles. Whether it’s a weekend road trip or a cross country ride like the Kyle Petty Charity Ride, the added height provides another level of wind protection and comfort.
No matter which windshield you choose, height matters. For riders running our Flare Windshields, the ideal height falls somewhere between your upper lip and the bottom of your nose. You should not be looking through your windshield. You do not need to.
The Flare design changed the game by directing wind up and around the rider while maintaining a clear line of sight if the road ahead.
Talk to experienced riders and you’ll quickly find that many own more than one windshield. One for cruising around town. One for bike nights. One for long distance travel. Different rides call for different setups.
If there is one upgrade that can completely change the way your motorcycle feels, it is a Flare windshield. Better comfort. Better wind management. Better audio performance. A better experience for both rider and passenger.
