Dick Hewtson, friend of many, and co-founder of the Minneapolis' Quatrefoil Library, has left this earthly plane. A stalwart champion of NO CENSORSHIP, he was instrumental in changing his then partner--- David Irwins' life (co-founder of Quatrefoil Library) by encouraging him to STOP throwing away GAY BOOKS. As a result, the library came into existence and has been serving the LGBTQIA community for nearly.40 years.

Every day the library volunteers open the doors is an act of resistance against the people that would have us silenced, nay------erased. Someone asked me once--how did they do it? They just did---they didn’t ask, or wait for permission--and the library persists--today.
