📢 QSD workshop announcement:“The "Science" of Jurassic Park: An Introduction to Computational Chemistry”
Come explore Jurassic Park at Q***r Science Day! 🌈🦕 We will be using computational chemistry tools to uncover information about DNA oxidation and show how the “science” of Jurassic Park isn’t super accurate – BUT don’t worry… we will be discussing current research efforts on finding intact dinosaur DNA and using evolutionary biology to reverse-engineer dinosaurs from chickens. The tools we will be using are easily applicable to chemistry, biology, physics, computer science… you name it! (And dinosaurs are pretty cool.) 🥼🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🧪🧬💻 Register for QSD at the link in our bio!
