You're not dreaming...The Theater of Public Policy is BACK after 4 long years!

We have a full season of intriguing topics and SUPER smart guests lined up, kicking off with a timely talk about the economy with MPR and Marketplace economics contributor Chris Farrell and economist Louis Johnston. See Gross Domestic Punchlines on June 16th from 7-8:30pm in the room where it all began: Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater🎳

What is The Theater of Public Policy (T2P2), you ask?
🎙️Shows open with a lively conversation with a newsmaker or policy wonk.
🎭That conversation inspires a team of Minnesota’s most talented improvisers, who create entirely spontaneous sketches based on the interview.
🙋‍♀️The expert guest then answers questions from the audience.
😂The show wraps with one last round of improv from the cast.

It’s a one-of-a-kind mix of learning and laughter — and each show only happens once.

What do healthcare workers, church leaders, and undergraduate students all have in common? Last week, they all learned and laughed with us through the lens of !

The week’s workshops and keynotes used improv tools to teach applicable skills like getting comfortable outside of your comfort zone, being a better listener and how to avoid burnout in tough jobs.

An important thing to know about Danger Boat events: we believe people learn and remember things better if they’re laughing and having a good time. Audiences this week learned and remembered a lot. 😄

If you want to combine thoughtful conversation with high-energy engagement at your next event, we would love to hear from you! Head to our website to learn more and to contact us about working together ➡️ www.dangerboat.net/contact

Thank you to Minnesota Hospice and Palliative Care, the Minnesota Department of Health, the Synod of Lakes and Prairies of the Presbyterian Church, and the University of St. Thomas for inviting us to be part of your events. Let’s do it all again next week! ;)

Danger Boat recently hired three new employees to help us with our admin operations and we'll be introducing them to you over the next week.

Next up is Clay Smith, our new Marketing Manager, who will assist with all forms of storytelling and outbound communications for the organization. That means handling our website, social media channels, our email list, and developing marketing collateral for sales and hired projects.

Does that mean Clay was forced to write their own announcement post? No, we would never be so cruel. But future communications may come from them clacking away at the keys.

So please join us in welcoming Clay to the team and we look forward to them sharing all the exciting events and projects we've been dreaming up.
