If you’re a veteran advocate and lead your own organization or nonprofit, working together with other organizations and individuals is essential to the mission and to our success.

Most of us are working toward the same goal: saving veterans’ lives, supporting their families, and making a positive impact. None of us enjoy the drama that can sometimes come with working alongside others, but there are times when you have to set your pride aside and let someone else take the lead.

Over the years, I’ve coordinated countless walks and events with other organizations. When I’ve faced situations that were bigger than I could handle alone, I haven’t hesitated to reach out to others who share the same mission.

No one has all the answers, and no one can do it all alone. The moment we recognize that and work together, we become stronger—and ultimately, we serve our veterans and their families better. 🇺🇸
