Monday evening we got a call from our friend at Patriot Stump & Land about a problematic tree at one of their clients homes.

We got there as soon as we could and assessed the situation. An actively uprooting hackberry tree was located in the backyard towering over two fences of neighboring property’s, and multiple native species of plants to our region including a white oak, pecan, viburnums, and magnolias.

We have been stretched a little thin lately with our busy workload so I was thankful to have my other great friends at Clear Waters Tree Service make time & show up to assist us with debris management & rigging in a timely fashion with safety, and style!

No damage to property, no damage to adjacent plants, or trees, and pristine grass remaining in tact.

It’s a breath of fresh air when multiple company’s can come together for the greater good, and build our industry in this region to be something greater than ourselves. A community that comes together to serve its clients with nothing but the best. Thank you gentleman.

This last weekend Lane competed in the southern chapter tree climbing championship. He placed 5th overall in the preliminary events and 3rd overall in the final masters challenge!

Tree climbing competitions are where we learn, grow, and challenge ourselves to not only push ourselves personally but professionally and in turns gives us the skill set and knowledge to perform better for you valued customers.

Congratulations to the champions Shawn Welch and Nicole Carni!

This weekend the family went out to Lowell, Arkansas for the 9th annual natural state tree climbing championship! Lane competed against some of the best in the nation and brought home 1st place in the sequestered Aerial Rescue event.

What is a sequestered Aerial rescue event?
A sequestered aerial rescue event is a timed competition in tree-climbing championships where participants must demonstrate the ability to safely access and lower an incapacitated climber (represented by a dummy) from a tree, while being isolated from seeing other competitors' attempts to ensure fairness and originality of approach. No competitor is permitted to watch the event until they have completed it themselves, and they are prohibited from discussing it with those who have not yet completed the event.

That event is one that we hold near and dear to our hearts because safety is our number one priority. It is as close to a real rescue as it gets. The ability to safely access a tree following all ANSI guidlines and regulations, and rescue an injured climber within minutes is important in our industry.

While we hope Lane never has to preform an actual aerial rescue. He’s always ready and able to save a life if the need arises.

We had a great time volunteering at the Donald E. Davis Arboretum last Friday! Thank you for having us out to assist with 2 tree removals, and a ton of pruning!
