💐Alyssa & Jay💐
Most times when I deliver a wedding cake, I have to get set up and get out of the way before guests start arriving, so I just check in with the coordinator and I'm on my way, it's just the nature of my part in the process. But once in a while, I'm lucky enough to see the couple on the big day, and I get to see their reaction to their cake 😁
Saturday was one of those lucky days, when I got to see not only the bride and groom, but meet their absolutely wonderful families. This delivery felt like a family reunion with the most joyful energy in the air - something both Alyssa and Jay's parents mentioned while we chatted, they are just full of joy. It was so apparent, and I swear, their radiance pushed the clouds and rain showers off so the sun could come out for the evening.
Now, about the cake... 😊 The wedding at the "secret garden-esque" Salem Herbfarm called for something floral, so when Alyssa sent me some ideas, I was super excited for the challenge. You know how I don't do sheet cakes? Yeah, I don't do sheet cakes, but I will do THIS. Multiple layers, so heavy that she needed a custom-cut acrylic board, and so large that I had to use my dinner table lazy Susan as a turntable.
I received the loveliest email from this gorgeous couple regarding their cake: "Working with you has been such an absolute joy, and I feel so grateful and lucky to have found you and that you were able to make this happen for us. You are exceptional in every way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Well, now I'm going to cry happy tears 🥰 Alyssa & Jay, I will bake for you anytime. I am so glad the Universe brought us together for this special day! Congratulations, thank you SO very much, and best wishes for a lifetime of health, wealth, and happiness 🥂🤍
Many, many thanks to and to (photos 7 and 8), and to my amazing mom for helping me deliver ❤️

Happy birthday, Brianna! May all your wishes come true 🎂✨️
I'm so pleased to be able to bake for this wonderful family 💙 They sincerely inspire me. I've made many cakes for Bri and her family, and I love being trusted to be creative. I used my favorite Wedgewood blue as the base - I really love the look of a base color with white piping over it, especially this shade of blue. The floral frames are so much fun to pipe, as each one is a little different.
Thank you, Kimberlee! So good to see you!
