🌸🌺🌻Happy Mother’s Day 🌸🌺🌻
“A Mother’s Last Baby”
In the blink of time, my baby's grown,
A strong, fierce soul, a man full-grown.
I watch with pride, my heart's delight,
As he conquers challenges with all his might.
Yet deep within, a whisper stirs,
A longing for those days, a gentle blur.
When tiny hands held tight to mine,
And innocence sparkled in his eyes so fine.
He's a warrior now, his path ahead,
A tapestry woven with threads well-led.
A mother's heart swells with love untamed,
For the man he's become, his dreams unchained.
Oh, how I cherish each memory sweet,
The pitter-patter of small, restless feet.
For daughters are friends, their bond divine,
But sons, oh sons, in their strength they shine.
He'll stand tall and proud, his journey grand,
Yet I'd give it all to hold his hand.
My last baby grown, a chapter anew,
Oh, what I wouldn't do to keep him close, it's true.

You said you were sober, so I let you come near,
Your voice drew me closer, yet drowned me in fear.
I clung to the lies that you painted so sweet,
But truth’s bitter edge swept me off of my feet.
I begged you to stop, but you called it a plea,
Your need for control was a prison for me.
You went too far when I didn't ask you to stay,
Now I’m haunted by ghosts that won’t go away.
I could burn it all down just to silence the ache,
Rip doors off their hinges, let everything break.
I set it on fire, then left you to grieve,
While I’m stuck with a weight that I cannot relieve.
You claimed I had asked for the damage you do,
But an unbroken version of me would have never let you.
With cheap lines and shadows, you stained every room,
Turned trust into ashes and our bond into gloom.
I once trusted a liar who wore my own shame,
He rewrote the story to sully my name.
So how could you twist every truth that I gave?
You now cry for fairness from your own given grave.
