Strong After Cancer
Cancer changed a lot about me.
One of those things was adding cardio to my training.
Today was my first FTP test.
No, I wasn’t chasing a PR in the squat rack. I was testing my engine.
As a cancer survivor, my goals have changed. I still love lifting heavy, but now I also train my heart, lungs, and endurance because longevity matters just as much as strength.
The strongest version of me isn’t just the one who lifts the most weight.
It’s the one who can keep showing up for years to come.
Every test is a baseline.
Every ride is progress.
Every mile is another reminder that I’m still here. 🚴🏽💪🏽
Cancer tried to take my strength.
Instead, it took me to another level of fighting for a different kind of strength.
Diagnosed at 26.
Surgery.
Chemotherapy.
Radiation.
Through every stage, I kept showing up.
Today, I’m still on hormone therapy, still recovering from surgeries, and still chasing strength.
Not because I have something to prove.
Because movement reminds me that cancer may be part of my story, but it will never be the ending.
Keep fighting. Keep moving. Keep believing. ❤️💪🏽
