Admari Tea

I’ve spent almost a lifetime drinking tea, and almost 20 years studying, sharing, sourcing, teaching, and trying to understand it.
And the more I learn, the more apparent it becomes that the world of tea is deep, complex, and endlessly humbling.
It looks simple. Leaves, water, a cup.
But behind every cup of tea is land, weather, timing, skill, labor, patience, history, memory, trade, and the human touch.
These photos were taken in Suối Giàng in Yên Bái, Vietnam, by among ancient tea trees, mountain landscapes, tea makers, families, and the people whose lives are intertwined with the leaf.
Tea has taken me to farms, auctions, factories, tea tables, temples, kitchens, classrooms, and into conversations I never could have imagined.
It has shaped my life, my work, and the way I understand people. The way I understand life.
So today, on International Tea Day, I’m thinking less about celebrating tea in the abstract, and more about honoring the real lives, places, and traditions that make tea possible. And how we can do that sustainably.
International Tea Day reminds us that tea is cultural heritage. It is health, agriculture, economy, ecology, and livelihood. It is a chain of care, from field to cup, and it deserves to be protected with respect.
Today, and every day, we honor tea as culture and tea as craft. Tea as connection. Tea as livelihood. Tea as something worth nurturing, supporting and protecting.

May has arrived.
In the tea world, this is when the season begins to speak.
Throughout the month, fresh harvests will begin to arrive in Miami; spring teas from newly awakened gardens, leaves shaped by weather, soil, and culture.
This is one of the most exciting moments of the year for us. New teas begin to arrive, the table shifts, and the studio takes on the energy of the season.
Our May calendar includes CommuniTea Table, Liquid Meditation, Turntables & Tea, The Blending Table, Matcha, Matcha, Matcha, and the return of Book Club! with The Book of Tea by Okakura Kakuzo.
We’re also joining at for a very special Mother’s Day weekend ritual:
Namo Wellness Ritual | Mother’s Day Edition: The Goddess
Saturday, May 9
9:00am to 11:30am
Together, we’ll honor the mother, the feminine, the sacred, and the restorative power of ritual.
I’ll be sharing two Tie Guan Yin teas through the lens of The Goddess, including our rare aged Eternal Goddess.
May is a beautiful month to gather, taste, listen, and begin again.
Full calendar and reservations through the link in bio.

It was a wonderfully full CommuniTea Table (and floor) this Sunday.
No clever reel capturing the moments. No fun clip to share for the algorithm gods.
Just a simple beautiful shot of friends and strangers gathering around tea and community captured so perfectly by
If I have not said it lately… I am grateful for all the beautiful souls that cross our threshold
Thank you thank you thank you ♥️
