Email Marketing Tips - What to do when you're switching email providers π
When switching email providers (like Mailchimp to Klaviyo), it's very important to do 'account warming' before you start sending email campaigns. Email providers (like Gmail and Outlook) are skeptical about bulk sends coming from a new IP address and this can possibly raise a red flag and they can start marking your emails as spam (we don't want that!) π

Here are some steps that I take when setting up new clients on Klaviyo:
π Set up your email automations first and the first 2-5 days of emails sends should be highly engaging emails coming from flows like welcome series, abandoned cart and post-purchase emails BEFORE you send campaigns
π Start building segments (30, 60, 90 days) and exclude any unengaged emails
π Think of the cadence you want to send out over the next four weeks. Your first send should be to 30 day engaged segment, and then expand to 60, and 90 day and monitor open rates. If they suddenly drop at 90 days, go back to 60 day engaged segment.

It's no secret that shoppers love discount sales, coupons, markdowns, and more! But how do you offer discounts without hurting your profits?
FIRST, define your goal! Are you wanting to increase sales? Increase traffic? Acquire new customers? Get rid of old inventory? Re-engage with old customers?
Once you have your goal defined, then you can determine your strategic approach!
