To understand how best to prepare for a corporate volunteering activity, it’s essential to know what employees want from their volunteering experiences.

Once their needs are identified, the company can work to meet them.

The top four factors for an enjoyable employee volunteering experience are:

The project is clearly organized with a defined scope and expected results: send invites, include an agenda, share catering options, and any other information you think could help your employees volunteer.

This is essential for ensuring employee buy-in.

Ample information about the nonprofit or cause: help employees understand who it is they’re helping with their volunteering.

No pressure from employer or colleagues: employees don’t want to be pushed or guilted into volunteering activities—they want to make the decision for themselves.

Ability to volunteer during business hours: give employees paid time off (PTO) in order to encourage them to volunteer without losing out financially.

Are you prepared for this?

In addition to evaluating all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of your employees and partners, caring for emotional health and empathy with the rehabilitation process are differentials of companies that take care of their people.

The ethics of care is a premise of corporate social responsibility.

In some countries, companies have played a key role in ensuring a return
safe in face-to-face work amidst so many uncertainties of the post-Covid future.

Prple can help with this task:

1. Making it possible to create interaction actions between employees, whether digital or face-to-face, that cultivate bonds, affection, and mutual care through social actions.

2. Enabling the creation of groups that propose actions for a safe and healthy return physically and emotionally.

3. As a tool for employees to dialogue with a focus on solving the problems of vulnerable people who need it most.

How are social projects impacting your company?

According to Jon Lloyd for Corporate Citizenship, due to the growth of the
interest about the ESG criteria, the letter S has often been linked to the word "impact" when companies want to show what they are delivering value to society.

"The word most used by companies to meet this expectation and demonstrate its social value is "impact," it says.

Unfortunately, if we evaluate carefully, we can see that there is a lot of misinformation on this topic and misuse of the concept.

According to the author, 3 main areas that any company that is
seeking to assess their impact will do well to consider are:

1. Show, don't say: saying that you do an action or have a project does not mean that turned a reality.

2. Don't (just) show the money: monetizing the impact is often all that matters to investors. But how best to make tangible and communicate the impact generated to other stakeholders?

3. Have some principles: keep quality principles that make your
impact study be more effective, such as focus, alignment, clarity, and
practicality.

Does it make sense to you?

Let us know what the difficulties are in assessing your company's impact, and certainly, we can be partners in this.
