Styling an old, stripped down wooden trunk turned coffee table (great for storage!). A stack of books & blonde prayer beads are looking right at home with the old trunk patina.

I initially stripped this trunk thinking I’d repaint it. It had to be stripped down because it had about 100 layers of bad, lumpy paint. Stripping it was WAY faster & less messy than sanding.

Once I saw the old wood...I decided to let it be. So not like me! I used to paint everything that wasn’t moving. It just depends on the individual piece now. This trunk for sure has some good ole’ stories!

I love decorating with books, they tell such a story about the homeowner, their taste & personality.
