Shockingly Dark Walnut.

The lamp is basically finished.

I need to sign the bottom of it, pull a wire through and wire up the socket.

Then a final coat of osmos.

Lots more lessons learned and I’ll likely do a second carved lamp before the end of the year.

Next up creating a custom shade for this piece and more table lamps.

Beach Fossil update.

Was pondering on a name while taking out the lumps and scars from the neck of this piece.

Beach Fossil seeps appropriate, titling my work of this scale feels appropriate.

I’d say we are approaching the end of this piece.

This week I’ll sand the bottom portion of the lamp and prepare to apply finish. Heck it may be wired up by next week.

Adri and I are attempting a new shade design to complement it. That involves bending wire into some difficult shapes. Fingers crossed 🤞
