39 I never thought I would see it; still surprised when I get another year. I started out with so much hope and joy.

Over the years all the hope and joy was lost. If you know me now know that I choose kindness and joy; I could have let myself be lost to the bitterness and hate that I was surrounded by growing up. There was a time I almost did. I thought all hope was lost. I realized that if I didn’t let my light back in, I would end up just like her. I tried for years to pretend I was okay; while dying a death by a thousand cuts.

In the last 6 years, the light and joy have slowly returned. I am not perfect but I choose to be kind, have empathy, and enjoy life to spite everything. I promise no matter how dark it is; no matter who you are. I am rooting for you to find the joy, light, kindness, empathy in life. Let's build longer tables in life.
