The Heath/Holloway feud has cost our area millions of dollars and opportunities because of back room dealings to hurt each other.

It’s time for a change.

A date I have had circled for over half a year.

The other candidates did what I thought they would. That’s the problem. Spent lots of money and fought with each other.

I’m qualified to replace them. I have ten years of local government results being the conservative member of council. I have lowered tax rates, strengthened financial accounts, and stood up for small businesses.

I have shown I have no problem ruffling establishment feathers to get constituents what they need.

Now, it’s up to you. Are we okay with us playing second fiddle to the personal feud that has cost us millions? Are we okay with not getting real representation? These have been the things we’ve dealt with over the last few years. Numbers don’t lie.

No one knows who you pick when you stand at the machine.

We deserve better.

Perfect synopsis for 2012-2026 District 2 representation. Other than rebuilding after a tornado, which is the least expected requirement, what have we gotten?

Nothing. Because, when you’re too busy pleasing others, you forget yourself.

We have been left unattended for over a decade. Other areas benefited more by our representatives than us. Even in this campaign, Murray State is a contentious issue. It’s not in District 2, but when you don’t do anything for your area, you’ll get regional pretty fast.

It’s time for someone to look out for us. Make the hard asks. Make noise.

It’s time for a change.

How does the feud between two people hurt all of us?

There are ways we will never know. Then, there are some we can see.

One is, obviously, the way the jail has been treated. Don’t believe the spin. The reason we don’t, can’t, and won’t get jail funding is related to this problem.

Others are also there. House Bill 900 this year was a 2 BILLION dollar fund created by the House to be used for community projects.

It would’ve been a great spot for ballpark improvements, infrastructure improvements, or several other projects. Lots of counties around us with much smaller populations got tons of money.

Graves County had 2 projects filled for just over one million total. We got half a percent of the total funding. That’s half of what our “fair share” should’ve been based on population.

We lost. We lost by a lot.

This is a direct result of the atmosphere created by the ongoing feud.

You lost because two people don’t like each other.
