Happy Birthday to the Talking Information Center!
Today, we proudly celebrate 48 years of connecting people to the printed word through the power of the human voice.
On June 19, 1978, TIC began as the first radio reading service of its kind in New England. What started with a dedicated group of volunteers and a shared vision has grown into a statewide service that provides free access to news, information, books, magazines, and so much more for people who are blind, have low vision, or have other print disabilities.
For 48 years, our incredible volunteers, loyal listeners, generous donors, and community partners have made this mission possible. Because of you, thousands of people stay informed, connected, and engaged every single day.
Help us celebrate!
Leave a birthday wish for TIC in the comments, or share how TIC has made a difference in your life.
If you'd like to give TIC a birthday gift, we'd be honored to receive a donation in celebration of our 48th year. Every gift—big or small—helps us continue providing free, accessible programming to listeners across Massachusetts.

Thank you for being part of the TIC family and helping us continue this mission. Here's to the next 48 years!
