Ladybugcrochet

Finished another project today! This cutie picked out this yarn a while ago and I started this little sweater, got mostly done, then it sat for a bit until I finally finished it today 🎉 Now time to start some new projects and think about Christmas presents! 🧶

Fall break = sleeping in 😴, eating too much 😋, reading 📚, and finishing up some projects 🧶. I think I started this cardigan about a year ago. I made all the separate pieces, then it sat for a while. Then I started piecing it together, then it sat for a while longer. Last week I finally finished piecing it together and finished the collar. Love it!

The third person in my life with cancer is my cousin. She has Ewing Sarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer in her upper arm/shoulder. When she was diagnosed, she was also in the second trimester of her second pregnancy, which complicated her treatment plans. Her beautiful baby girl was born after her second treatment and is doing well in the NICU, where she will be until her original due date in August. Throughout her intensive treatments, I am constantly amazed at my cousin’s positive attitude. I made a couple hats for her, and a little matching hat for Baby K.

I went out of town last week and thought I could keep up with these posts, but I got too distracted. So here’s my second project for someone in my life with cancer. My aunt is battling cancer for the third time, which is heartbreaking. She prefers headbands, and it was a fun change up to find these patterns and make these for her, complete with interchangeable flowers to pin on to match her outfits.
