We at The Coach Within You are delighted to welcome our new Trainee Coach, Sarha Rasheed .rasheed . In her own words: “ I am a woman of color, raised in a South Asian community where msyognistic and patriarchal values are deeply rooted, and in a country where generations are still plagued with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder brought by the subcontinent’s partition.

Being an obedient brown daughter, I had to abandon my needs and wishes in the relentless pursuit of validation and acceptance from all the authoritative figures in my life.

The shackles of generational trauma held me tightly, until the day I decided to question the unquestionable and raise my voice against norms and beliefs that didn’t align with my purpose and being.

The struggle didn’t end here. The inner void deepened with time. I didn’t feel at ease with where I was headed in life. My quest for deeper meaning of life intensified, which ultimately led me to quit my corporate job and discover my true authentic self; someone whose identity is different and distinct from all the labels that are given to her.

After years of shunning my calling underneath the needs of this survivalist world, I have embarked on a journey to discover myself, and consistently be a work in progress.

As your coach, I invite you to experience the magic of self discovery with me - I will walk along the beach with you while you explore the depths of the ocean that lies in front of you and navigate your way to excavate the most precious jewel that lies beneath it.”

We welcome Sarha to our practice and invite you to extend to her a warm welcome as well. If you would like to work with Sarha or set up an introductory session with her, please send us a DM or an email at [email protected]

Faiza a young, beautiful diva living in New York City joins us on Sunday at 12 noon ET to share her dating experiences and disasters and what it means to be brown, 30-something, and single in NYC.
