Adoption Update #20, Blair!
Blair was found living outside of a tire shop alongside her devoted mom and her only surviving sibling. While most puppies spend their first weeks discovering the world from the safety of a home, Blair’s earliest days were spent simply trying to survive.
Then came another battle.
Blair was diagnosed with Parvo, a devastating virus that takes far too many puppies before they’ve had the chance to experience life. But Blair wasn’t ready to give up. She fought with everything she had, beat the odds, and proved she was destined for a brighter future.
After recovering, Blair was welcomed into a loving foster home where she learned what it meant to be safe, cherished, and loved. When the time came, she packed her bags for the biggest adventure of all—a trip to Canada to meet the family who had been waiting just for her.
Today, Blair, now Savannah, is absolutely thriving.
She’s become a superstar at doggie day camp, where she’s making friends and winning hearts everywhere she goes. Her family says she receives endless compliments on both her stunning coat and her wonderful personality. And perhaps best of all, she’s formed an inseparable bond with her furry sibling, Agapi. Together, they’re living the kind of life every rescue dog deserves—filled with friendship, adventure, and unconditional love.
From a tire shop in Houston, to beating Parvo, to finding her forever home across the border, Savannah’s story is a beautiful reminder of why we never stop believing in second chances.
Happy tails, sweet girl. We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible dog you’ve become.

Meet our newest World Cup family! ⚽️
Help us welcome Momma Fifa, her oldest son Beckham, and her youngest pups Messi, Ronaldo, and Haaland to our Corridor family.
For months, Fifa and Beckham called the streets of Houston home. Thankfully, they found themselves in a neighborhood where compassionate residents did everything they could to keep them fed and watch over them. They weren’t invisible, harmed, or threatened. They were accepted.
When the family began to grow and started tearing up the underside of the home they had been sheltering beneath, the residents knew it was time to ask for help.
Because of your support, that wish became reality.
Instead of searching for their next meal or a safe place to sleep, Fifa and her babies are finally somewhere they can rest and receive the medical care that they did not have access to on the streets.
Momma Fifa has tested positive for heartworms and will begin her heartworm treatment with us, giving her the chance to enjoy the healthy future she deserves. Beckham, Messi, Ronaldo, and Haaland are all settling into rescue life, have been treated for their heavy flea and parasite burden, and will be spayed and neutered before becoming available for adoption.
Right now, this entire family is looking for foster homes. Whether you can open your home to one puppy or give Momma Fifa a quiet place to recover during treatment, fostering changes everything. It allows dogs like these to leave the stress of the kennel behind while preparing them for their forever families.
The streets have been benched, safety has taken the lead, and our World Cup family is ready to score their biggest victory yet—finding the loving homes they’ve always deserved. 🥇

Adoption Update #19, Annie!
For months, Annie was a familiar face on our cat feeding route in the Corridor. Across the street from one of our feeding stations, she and Rocky, would greet us from behind their fence, always waiting patiently for a treat.
Then one day, everything changed.
As we pulled up to the house, Annie and Rocky came running behind us down the busy road.
Their owner had passed away, and the family member who took over the property had thrown Annie, Rocky, and even their old dog house out onto the street. The home they had always known was right in front of them, but the gates were locked. They waited outside, unable to understand why they couldn’t go back.
Every day we worried that one of them wouldn’t survive the traffic. Every day we hoped a kennel would open. When we finally had two empty spaces, Annie and Rocky were safely brought into our care.
Sadly, their story isn’t unique. Dogs like Annie and Rocky are discarded every single day, left behind as if they don’t matter, with little to no consequence for those responsible. But we promised them their story wouldn’t end there.
Annie recovered beautifully from a small tear in her knee while Rocky completed heartworm treatment. Through it all, Annie loved everyone she met, greeted every new friend with a wagging tail, and reminded us that kindness can survive even the hardest circumstances.
That incredible personality caught the attention of a firefighter in New York, who knew Annie was the missing piece of her family.
Today, Annie, now known as Vaeda, is no longer waiting outside a locked gate.
She has a home where she is cherished, a best friend by her side, and a future filled with the love she always deserved.
While Rocky and Vaeda were siblings by circumstance, Rocky seems to prefer life at his own pace. No other dogs, just him, his people, and his beloved game of fetch. If you are interested in giving Rocky the happy ending of his own, submit an application through our link below!
