Something powerful is happening. 🌱🔥

Not just in music.
Not just in art.
Not just in business.

In people.

We are witnessing a generation of individuals returning to themselves. Returning to community. Returning to purpose. Returning to the roots that shaped them while building something new from the lessons that changed them.

That is exactly why Radical Affairs Magazine exists.

On July 15, 2026, we officially release our inaugural issue, Roots & Revival, featuring Dizzy D and the voices, stories, creativity, and culture that continue to move our communities forward.

This is more than a magazine.

It is a collection of testimony.
A document of resilience.
A celebration of the people who refused to stop creating, building, healing, and becoming.

If you've ever felt unseen, unheard, or overlooked, this issue is for you.

July 15th isn't just a release date.

It's the beginning of a movement.

Everybody screams “support local” until it’s time to preserve the people creating the culture in real time.

That’s what Roots & Revival is about.

Not trends.
Not clout.
Not performative support.

This issue of Radical Affairs Magazine is documenting the heartbeat of the city while it’s still alive and becoming.

The DJs carrying rooms on their backs.
The poets turning pain into language.
The photographers freezing history before it disappears.
The entrepreneurs building from almost nothing.
The healers keeping people together quietly.
The artists creating even when nobody is watching.

Somebody is going to open these pages and finally feel seen.

Somebody is going to remember why they started creating in the first place.

And years from now?
People will look back and realize this issue captured a moment that mattered.

This is bigger than a magazine.
This is community memory.
This is legacy work.

Some of the most powerful people in a city will never touch a mainstream platform…
but that does NOT mean their voice lacks impact.

That’s why Roots & Revival exists.

Issue One of Radical Affairs Magazine is about documenting the soul of the community while it’s still breathing, creating, healing, and becoming.

The musicians.
The spoken word artists.
The DJs.
The visionaries.
The people rebuilding culture from the ground up.

This magazine is for the voices that deserved to be heard a long time ago.

And the beautiful part?
This is only the beginning.

✨ Want to be featured?
✨ Want to submit poetry, music, photography, or stories?
✨ Want your business connected to real community impact?

Roots & Revival is calling.

ROOTS & REVIVAL isn’t just a magazine issue.
It’s testimony.
It’s survival.
It’s what happens when people refuse to let pain silence their purpose. 🌱🔥

Too many people are carrying stories they thought nobody wanted to hear. Stories about rebuilding after heartbreak. Surviving depression. Losing themselves and fighting to come back home to who they truly are. Stories about community, music, healing, faith, creativity, culture, and becoming.

So Radical Affairs Magazine wants to ask you something real:

What did you have to survive, unlearn, rebuild, or heal from to become the version of yourself you are today?

Drop your response below. Selected responses may be featured in the upcoming “Roots & Revival” issue featuring Dizzy D.

This is for the village.
This is for the voices rising.
This is for revival.

Some people chase music.
Some people become it.

Watching Marquis Green this past Saturday at his album release party really put something on my heart. I met him almost 10–15 years ago during a season where I was trying to step into music management and artist development, and even back then, one thing never changed — his dedication to making beautiful music. Not trendy music. Not temporary music. Beautiful music. Intentional music.

To witness the growth, the confidence, the stage presence, and the way he commands a room now? Man… all I could do was smile. Genuine pride. Genuine admiration.

Every single time Marquis touches a stage, he gives people an experience. You can tell the work, the sacrifices, the late nights, and the belief never stopped. Huntsville truly has something special in him.

Flowers while they can still be smelled. Keep going, Marquis. Your greatness is loud without you ever needing to force it. 💫👏🏾

The cover is finished.
And honestly… it feels bigger than a magazine.

“Roots & Revival” was created to document the pulse of the people. The artists still creating through exhaustion. The visionaries rebuilding community from the ground up. The musicians carrying stories in every lyric. The healers, poets, photographers, designers, and leaders reminding this city that culture is still alive here.

Featuring Dizzy D on our very first cover, this issue represents what Radical Affairs Magazine stands for: intentional creativity, fearless expression, and community revival.

Now we’re opening the doors for submissions.

If you have music, poetry, photography, artwork, stories, community work, or a business rooted in purpose, we want to feature YOU in this “Roots & Revival” issue.

This is for the culture.
This is for the city.
This is for the ones creating anyway. 🌱🔥

There’s something prophetic about sitting with a magazine cover for hours… adjusting details nobody else may notice, but feeling every single shift in your spirit. That’s where I’m at with this first issue of Radical Affairs Magazine featuring Dizzy D.

“Roots & Revival” is becoming more than pages. It feels like documentation of a city finding its voice again. Of artists still creating through pressure. Of community leaders still pouring into people when nobody is clapping yet.

This cover is intentional. Every shadow. Every font choice. Every emotion behind it. I want people to open this magazine and feel Huntsville breathing through it.

And if you’ve been waiting on a sign to submit your work, your story, your poetry, your photography, your business, your music, or your voice… this is it.

Roots grow deep before revival blooms loud. 🌱

Let’s build something legendary together.

Marquis Green what does the moment mean for you?

05/03/2026

There’s something powerful about having accountability friends who won’t let you sit in doubt too long. I’ve been in my head about Radical Affairs Magazine… thinking about the numbers, the ads, the “what ifs.” And then Dizzy D and Sq**rt Alert came through with the reminder I needed: it’s time. Period.

Who cares if the ads aren’t stacked yet?
Who cares if the followers are still growing?

This is bigger than that. This is purpose work. This will reach exactly who it’s meant to reach. And that’s enough to MOVE.

So I’m done waiting. Done overthinking. We’re building this NOW. Immediately. Watch me work.
