1. Where is the act from? Madison, WI
2. How long has the act been around? Technically since March 2000, but only been playing under the name since October 2025
3. Describe the genre/sound: loudfastbadsad
4. If someone's never heard the band before, what song would you recommend they check out first? Again, cover set, so just check out those listed acts if you don't know them. They're all great.
5. If the band was a color, what color would it be? As clear as a Sunny D Vodka Seltzer
6. Be honest, what do you make of this Lex guy? I am Lex. That said, he sucks.

I'll be celebrating my birthday weekend by playing Day One of my very own LEXFest on Friday, March 6th, 2026, at The Rigby, alongside The Black and Blue Hearts, Fangerlis, Weird Place, Pinhead McFly, Cathouse Dandies, and 'Scream Internally and Die' Forever.

6 PM | 21+ | $5

A couple weeks after that, I'll be getting caught on Thursday, March 19th at The Mousetrap alongside Autumn and The Trinkettes, Tapes and Tears, and Quiver The Busker.

7 PM | 18+ | $10

Well, it finally happened. I finally broke a string while playing guitar. You'd think it would've happened sooner than 11 years of playing, but I've only managed to break strings while tuning up to this point. Of course, guitar is not my primary instrument, so while I technically haven't had as much play time to break a string, with how fast and hard I play, it's a wonder it took so long. Also, just look at that. Cleanest and tiniest fu***ng break ever. Just a shrivel. It made the cutest little *pop* sound when it happened too.

What was I playing when it broke? I'm glad you asked! I was actually in the process of writing a BRAND NEW SONG that I plan to debut live next Wednesday, 1/21 at The North Street Cabaret in Madison's open mic, hosted by my wonderful bandmate in Cathouse Dandies Michael Hollywood. If you want to witness the debut of the strin'-killin' song, make sure to come on out! It starts at 7 (ish).

I also like the song so much, that maybe I'll record it soon and drop it as the first official Closeted Alcoholic single. If this post gets two likes, then my buddy Mike has to come over to my place and help me record it. That's the deal Mike!
