“The CALX Crew’s Consent Adventures,” written by teen advocates at RCC GameChangers for youth ages 4-10, is a picture book intended to teach kids about consent, boundaries, and bodily autonomy in a friendly and supportive way. Copies are available for FREE to caretakers of children, schools and other childcare/education spaces, libraries, book clubs, community organizations, affinity groups, archives and special collections, and anyone else interested. One of our projects this year was a collaboration with East High MENS Club! MENS (Men Encouraging Nonviolent Strength) Clubs bring together young men to connect and discuss topics like masculinity, (un)healthy relationships, and conflict resolution. With a shared focus on violence prevention, GameChangers planned a peer education event that engaged students in discussions and activities. We shared a meal, competed in a fierce game of Family Feud, and talked about how we can show up for our community!
