The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin's Major Project Grant Cycle is now open! The CFCWI awards grants of up to $50,000 to support growth and development for programs and projects that make an impact in Portage and Waushara Counties. The grant is open to programs and projects that align with their mission areas of employment, helping people, wellness, education, and arts & culture.

Applications close on June 15th, and the award winners will be announced in mid-September. For more information, check out the link in the comments!

Data Centers and Public School Funding and a Surplus, Oh My! Rep. Vinnie here, your State Representative. I wanted to share a brief update on the work I’m doing to help our community at the State Capitol in Madison.

In the spring of each even-numbered year, the Joint Legislative Council selects a few topics submitted by the legislature to study and provide legislative solutions for. Each committee is compromised of members of the legislature and the public. The committees provide a unique way for community members to directly engage in the policy-making process.
