This past Saturday we marched. We just had to.
Ella decorated her sign, made a necklace, repurposed her skateboard to bring free water, put on her The Interrupters t-shirt and Sick Of It All face mask and endured 100+ degree weather to stand up against racism.
Even though it’s utterly embarrassing that we still have to protest this s**t in 2020, it felt comforting to be around so many likeminded people and to feel there’s still love and hope in this world driven by greed and thirst for power.

Look in the comments to see more pictures and read two amazing quotes (because other people are way better with words than this mommy will ever be), one by the amazing and one by the world’s best kisser (not speaking from experience though😄) who wrote this particular rant back in 2017, but it still stands.
And yes, we broke the social distance rule for a minute to take a group shot. How could we not with all these cool people wearing cool t-shirts? It was a kid’s march and we assume that parents who are responsible enough to teach their kids about racism are equally responsible to not bring sick people to such an event. And we had our masks too!
