Nice work Officer Blair !!
During the overnight shift, Officer Blair came across a baby deer (fawn) lying in the road on Chapin Street. Concerned for its safety, he contacted the Animal Control Officer (ACO), who was already responding to another call.
Once the ACO arrived, they determined that the fawn was only a few days old. The mother deer was spotted nearby, but separated by a six-foot fence which the baby couldn’t cross.
Officer Blair was initially concerned that human contact might cause the mother to reject the fawn. Fortunately, the ACO assured him that this is a common myth. With care and compassion, Officer Blair used a blanket to safely pick up the fawn and reunite it with its mother.
Mother and baby walked off together—safe and sound.
Thank you, Officer Blair and Animal Control, for your quick thinking and compassion!

On October 25th, the Ludlow Police Department had the pleasure of participating in the annual Rag S**g Parade held at the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club. Our officers engaged with the community, spreading Halloween spirit with smiles and plenty of candy! The candy was donated by the Ludlow Police Association.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support and celebrate with us—we loved seeing the creativity and joy from all the costumes and enthusiasm. Events like these are a fantastic reminder of the strong community spirit that makes Ludlow special.
