Smooth Fusion Acquired by SteadyRain 05/01/2026

Our employee owners have some big news to share: Smooth Fusion has joined SteadyRain!

This is an exciting next step for our team, our clients, and the future of the work we get to do. It also marks a meaningful moment in our employee-ownership journey, as Smooth Fusion becomes part of SteadyRain, a 100% employee-owned digital agency based in St. Louis.

By joining forces, we’re bringing together two teams with complementary strengths and a shared commitment to doing great work, taking care of clients, and building something that lasts.

For Smooth Fusion clients, the relationships you know and trust aren’t going away. You’ll continue working with the same team, now with access to broader capabilities, more resources, and an even deeper bench of digital expertise.

This move gives us the opportunity to serve clients in bigger and better ways while staying true to what has always mattered most to us: thoughtful partnership, strong technical work, and long-term solutions that help organizations move forward.

We’re grateful for everyone who has been part of the Smooth Fusion story so far, and we’re excited for what’s ahead with SteadyRain.

Flashback Friday: Week 2!

Last week, we shared photos from the first five years of Smooth Fusion. This week, we’re jumping ahead a bit.

These photos from 2006–2010 capture some great moments with our team along the way.

One big milestone during this stretch was becoming a Sitefinity Partner in 2009!

If you were part of these years as a teammate, client, or partner, we’d love to hear your memories.

Three years in, Matt continues to make a meaningful impact at Smooth Fusion.

As our Senior Front End Developer, he brings a level of craftsmanship and consistency that elevates the work we deliver to clients.

Alongside his technical skill, his character truly stands out. Matt is steady, humble, and dependable. He shows up for his teammates, collaborates well under pressure, and consistently delivers high-quality work.

Outside of work, he’s a devoted husband and father of four who prioritizes his family. His faith shapes the way he serves others, and that integrity is evident in everything he does.

Matt, thank you for three strong years. Smooth Fusion is better because you’re part of it.

This Thursday, we are throwing it all the way back.

As Smooth Fusion celebrates 25 years, we are digging into the archives and sharing photos from our earliest days. This first batch comes from the first five years of the journey, when the internet looked very different, and our company’s foundations were being built.

A lot has changed since then, but the people, relationships, and commitment to great work still define who we are today.

Here is where it all started.

If you have been part of the journey as a team member, client, or partner, we would love to hear your memories.

Why celebrate National Cauliflower Day on social media?

Well, because apparently, we can’t post about websites every time.

The “experts” say we need to be more unpredictable, more relatable, more human. People eat cauliflower. Some data suggests 61% of people even like cauliflower.

That’s practically viral by B2B standards.

So here we are.

Cauliflower: the vegetable that spent decades being ignored on veggie trays until someone roasted it, covered it in buffalo sauce, and gave it a full-scale rebrand.

Honestly, respect. That’s better positioning than most enterprise software gets. It’s also the only food that can convincingly pretend to be literally anything else. Rice? Sure. Pizza crust? Why not. Mashed potatoes? Absolutely. Give it a few more years, and it’ll probably start applying for marketing jobs.

From a business perspective, cauliflower is a masterclass in pivoting:

Phase 1: Bland side dish nobody asked for
Phase 2: Keto darling
Phase 3: Plant-based everything
Phase 4: $9.99 “artisan” appetizer

So, to all who celebrate, tolerate, or quietly push it to the side of the plate when no one is looking... !

And hey...If cauliflower can reinvent itself this successfully, your website probably can too.
