The Lubbock Music NOW project features local area musicians who write and perform their music in Lubbock! Apply today to be considered for the 2027 Lubbock Music NOW album.

Deadline to apply is June 30, 2026.

How does it work? Submitted original songs are anonymously evaluated by the Civic Lubbock’s Entertainment Lubbock Committee. Each track is scored across five different dimensions, with each aspect rated from 1 to 5. These top tracks then head to music experts around the country, including former and/or current members of the Texas branch of The Recording Academy (Texas Grammy Board)—for the final selection.

Submit your application. Make sure you meet all of the requirements. Once the application is reviewed you will be directed to upload your song to a designated online account for consideration. Must be an original song in a digital format
(.wav file).
