The TPPA office will be closed for the remainder of the week to allow our staff to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. We will return all messages on Monday, December 2nd.

As we look forward to the major show season, please be aware of the updates from the Texas Animal Health Commission on testing requirements for gilt exhibition sales.

As of November 19, 2024, the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) issued an executive director waiver allowing 60-day brucellosis and pseudorabies testing for gilt exhibition sales. The waiver extends the 30-day testing requirement for non-exempt gilts changing ownership at an exhibition sale to 60 days.

TPPA has and will continue to work diligently with TAHC on gilt exhibition swine requirements. For more information, please visit https://tinyurl.com/47jv8by9.

Breeders, don't forget to register and transfer your litters by December 1st if they are to be exhibited at any Texas majors this spring!
