A rose is only as beautiful as you cultivate it to be.

March is a very busy time for the landscapes in our SW environment.
March is the time to:
- plant pansies and ornamental kale.
- plant cool season veggies (radishes, carrots, broccoli, beets, peas, lettuce, cabbage, and cauliflower)
- Trees, Shrubs, and Perrenials can be planted now.
- Fertilize existing trees and shrubs.
- Lawns can be fertilized and be sure to apply any pre-emergent herbicides at this time
- Cut back ornamental grasses before new growth emerges ( DO NOT cut back evergreen grasses such as pampas, blue avens, blue fescue, etc.)

Remember, during this prolonged drought, plants and trees that typically have not needed water will require some supplemental watering. As with all watering during the hot summer months, water as early in the morning as possible.
