It was an honor being invited to the Alzheimer’s Association event last night. Stories were shared, tears were shed, and HOPE was spread.

Accelerating research and recent breakthroughs are creating optimism!

My mother suffered a severe brain injury when I was a child. It is now compounded by dementia.

I have lived with Type 1 Diabetes for 42 years, there is a link between Diabetes and Alzheimer’s.

Did you know that diabetics are at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s or dementia?

I was there on behalf of my company GenerationFit.net and behalf of living with and working with diabetes/diabetics.

I am excited to join forces with future plans of hosting events.

📝 There are studies that show that those living with Type 1 Diabetes were 93% more likely to develop dementia. Being diagnosed younger makes a significant difference.

There is a plethora of information available regarding Type 2 Diabetes and a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Much more information in regard to Type 2. Is that because Type 2’s are more prone to Alzheimer’s or because more studies are done on this group, being the larger group?
Regardless, it is a combined issue that needs to be addressed.
