This morning I honored Mother Nature's largest body of water by catching some waves with the dolphins. And stuffing some plastic trash into my wetsuit.
Humans tend to take the ocean for granted, but it's currently saving our butts by absorbing over 90% of excess heat trapped by greenhouse gasses. Without that we'd be fried.
No joke.
But the ocean can only do so much on its own. If we continue to abuse the natural gifts we've been bestowed by this planet, we will suffer.
We're already suffering.
Even if you haven't been directly impacted by climate change yet, you can feel it in your body, this nagging feeling that something isn't right in the world.
Because it's not.
We're meant to live in harmony with all other life, supporting one another not only to survive, but also thrive.
Heal nature, heal yourself.
So, what can you do for the ocean today?
Reminder that intentional focus on your breath in any form will improve your health and well-being. But for those who'd like a specific breathing exercise to try, I present to you "box breathing." It's a free and easy way to put you in the present moment and regulate your nervous system, leading to all kinds of the good stuff.
