So the President of the United States hijacked prime time on Thursday night for 25 minutes, and I need you to understand what actually happened, because it wasn't a speech. It was a confession. Pre-recorded. For a crime he hasn't committed yet.

Here's the shape of it.

He stood in the White House, the only president in American history indicted TWICE for election interference, and lectured 300 million people about "cheating and interference" in elections. The arsonist didn't just give a fire safety lecture. He applied to run the fire brigade and listed "extensive hands-on experience with fires" under qualifications.

Then he waved around "declassified intelligence" and told everyone to go read it on whitehouse gov.

So Jim Himes did. The top Democrat on House Intelligence. The bloke whose actual job is reading this stuff. And what did he find?

The China documents: 30 files, redacted to buggery. Roughly 20 legible words. TOTAL. That's not evidence, that's a colouring book for depressed people.

The Venezuela report: an old document about Maduro rigging VENEZUELAN elections. Their own. In Venezuela. The President held up a report about Caracas rigging Caracas and told you it proves Caracas rigged Georgia. That's a bloke waving a Bunnings receipt around claiming he owns the Opera House.

And the finding that there was NO meddling? That came from John Ratcliffe's intelligence community. Trump's own bloke. Currently running the CIA. Whose statement this week very carefully does not endorse a single word his boss said. You know why? Because he doesn't.

Here's the part that should keep you up at night. Himes, the calmest bloke in Washington, a man who was in the chamber on January 6, laid out the actual play: this speech was the alibi, buried in July, ready to be dug up on election night in November when the results go badly. "Remember when I warned you about the Chinese and the Venezuelans?" Federal agents. Seized ballot boxes. 70 of them, chain of custody gone forever.

His exact words: that is the moment American democracy dies.

And Jon Ossoff, the Georgia senator who predicted this entire speech 9 HOURS before it aired, went on telly and called the President depraved and amoral in the tone of a bloke reading the cricket scores. His answer to all of it? You can't steal a landslide. You can't discredit a bloody avalanche.

I've pulled the whole night apart bolt by bolt. O'Donnell's demolition. Himes marking the homework. Ossoff naming the target. Every receipt, every timestamp, every link to the White House's own self-incriminating documents. Plus a fresh Glossary for the Yanks, because "flatter than a sh*t-carter's hat" needed explaining.

It's the longest thing I've written this year and every word earns its spot.

If you believe election fraud is one of the worst crimes imaginable, then this should bother you no matter whose name is attached to it.

Donald Trump lost Georgia by 11,779 votes.

Then he called Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State and asked him to “find 11,780 votes”—exactly one more than he needed to overturn the result.

Not 20,000.
Not 100,000.

11,780.

If Joe Biden had made that phone call to overturn an election he lost, conservatives would still be talking about it every single day.

The standard shouldn’t change just because it’s your guy.
