My last post from The Hope Ride 2!
So very bittersweet..
THANK YOU to EVERYONE that made this journey possible and God my father for protecting me and watching over me the entire ride!

I am thrilled to announce that with your support, we were able to raise $4,500 in net-proceeds to donate to the incredible mission of the Livestrong Foundation which serves millions of people affected by Cancer!

I first got my LIVESTRONG bracelet shortly after I had brain surgery in 2008. I knew the recovery was going to be quite the challenge, but this bracelet was a visual reminder to do as it said, LIVE STRONG!

I am forever grateful for the unwavering support of my sponsors and the incredible generosity of countless individual donors. Once again, THANK YOU!

Here's to life, HOPE, and the battle against Cancer!

Long time no see! I ended up getting really busy once I fully jumped back into life. Sorry about that! 😅 I know I need to wrap up this journey so I have a small few posts left to tie all the loose ends up! Enjoy!

My boy Ben Steinbacher! Always the life of the party and such a great time with him! He’s a man who invests in other people and their dreams. Amazing people person and man of his word. Thank you Ben for jumping in on this ride even after you got really sick and coughed for the first few days! Appreciate you bro!

Part 2. Video!

Day 11 of pedaling along..
Dan! The most efficient man! Riding into the Bodega Dunes to the Hiker/Biker spot there was a fella already there who had setup camp. Learning about Dan, he is a programmer and had been riding this week as a training for a 700 mile ride the following week. He was putting in like 60-80 mile days! Why is he the most efficient man you ask? He had measured every single thing he had with him down to the grams! He had 10 grams of white powdered toothpaste which looked like a certain drug. So of course I jokingly asked him…how much you want for 3 grams of the white powder? Lol. He had an attachment on his bike that powered all his devices as the wheel turned. He had a TINY tent that he barely squeezed into and multi-used his small clothing bag as a pillow. It literally took him 5 minutes to setup his tent and start eating. He had so many facts about things and the ‘best way to do them’. My kinda man!
Since his trip was about over, he possibly going to stay in a hotel for the night and pamper himself and do some ‘sink laundry’. Haha you can guess what that means. Awesome guy and super cool! I didnt expect to see him again so we said our goodbyes in the morning and got a photo together. (Pics of my dinner + breakfast are included)
I think I rode somewhere between 30-50 miles that day to another campground. After 20 minutes low and behold Dan rolls up! Ayyyyyyy!! He said he realized he was at a very lovely destination place and he was going to spend it inside a hotel? Nah. He looked around the town and decided to head onward. He must have booked it because I got there and it was like 20 minutes later he showed up! Its also much better having companionship on a lonely bike ride than not and we made good friends!
I wish him well on his bike ride! We will definitely keep in touch!

Facebook doesn’t do photos AND videos in one post on a ‘Page’ you manage. Poopy.
