Been a minute since I’ve posted ❤️ For my pop 🕊️
I had the opportunity to meet my father for the first time almost 7 years ago to the day. Took some time for us to get connected. Though it took time for us to get there, we really hit it off. For the first time I got to see & understand even more about myself, the gift of gab, making people feel warm around us, the grit, and most of all putting smiles on peoples faces. I remember sitting in the captains chairs over looking the ocean when the sun was setting (IYKYK) and you explained everything, and from then on knew I trusted you. Talking sports stats (we would talk stats for hours & did this when we were both kids). The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree was as relevant as ever. I saw how everyone respected you everywhere you touched down, especially in Houston. I wanted to emulate you, it’s that thing you just can’t teach. There was so much more life & experiences that we had yet to touch but the higher power called and your work here was done. I’ll keep carrying that spirit 🤞🏾 And have a cold one up there for me I know you have the bar rocking! Thank you for blessing everyone. RIP 🕊️ Pop I love you. John aka “Jake” Chase
