Zion is my favorite national park.

We had 2 full days of hiking this trip. The kids walked a lot, and were carried a lot too. On the first day of hiking, Theo made it all the way from the lodge to the upper emerald pool. On the second day, both kids walked all the way from the shuttle stop to the entrance of the narrows (a mile). As you can see, the long walk wore Stella out, and she needed a nap. I’m writing this so if we are hiking in a few years and the kids say they can’t make it, I can show them this post and say “you walked this whole thing when you were 4 and 2!” It’s my time capsule

Throughout the trip we would have the kids look up to appreciate the beauty around us. We would analyze what makes it beautiful, hoping that it will help them appreciate nature as much as we do.
