Rustic handcrafted Log Queen Bed sculpted from twisted fir & pine. Unique scribing techniques mentored from a master craftsman from the Bitterroot Valley (MT), infamous for quality log home construction. Large burl-wood protruding from the foot board which complements this unique selection of character logs. Insect trails common throughout wood delicately preserved from hand peeling during fabrication. Mattress frame mortised to head & foot boards & constructed from reclaimed corral boards that complement the numerous catfaces throughout this piece.

Rustic handcrafted Log Bench sculpted from twisted pine, fir, and juniper. The center spindle was of course a “split-decision” to this piece and was recently collected from the beautiful Paradise Valley of Southwest Montana. As the ancient words of scriptures describe, “…It will be revealed with fire…”, so too are many of the scorched and branded logs salvaged from the Pine Creek Fire of 2012.
Catfaced logs heralded from the Ruby Mountains, south of Sheridan, Mont. Revered as one of the dries places in Montana, these trees demonstrate the perseverance of proven character. The catfaces are battle scars from elk & deer rubs as well as falling companions throughout the years of “hard-livin”.
Seat is constructed from salvaged barnwood from the Shield’s Valley Homestead. Boards were once a compilation of a milking shed and an equipment barn stained with repurposed motor oil. As a reminder of the blood shed for this country, traditional ‘barn-red’ plank accents the seat.
