Hope everyone has had a great start to their school year. With tests ramping up, social media often falls by the wayside, but I wanted to take a moment to commemorate those whose lives were lost 22 years ago.

Congratulations to the recently graduated high school classes of 2023!

Welcome to a new part of the great circle of life. Just as salmon swim upstream to spawn and are then eaten by grizzly bears, so too will you swim upstream only to be eaten by the great grizzly bear of success.

Sharing one of my favorite college application essays of all time today, written by Hugh Gallagher in the 90s. It got him accepted to NYU and lunch with JFK jr! Or so the story goes. Please to note: it is thoroughly inadvisable to write an essay like this, if that's what you're thinking. This guy did it first, and did it so well, that this trick is unlikely to work for anyone else, ever again.
