Meet KCCD Fellow Angeline Felix, a rising junior majoring in Aerospace Engineering at Bakersfield College. This summer at LLNL, Angeline is designing a temporary fixture tank to apply newly developed coating to full size laser mirrors to test increased air knife efficiency.

Fun Fact: Angeline has a passion for entomology and loves collecting and pinning insect specimens.

Meet KCCD Fellow Atzin Anguiano, a rising junior at Bakersfield College majoring in Mechanical Engineering. This summer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Atzin will test how advanced materials bend and crush under different forces and impacts. His work will help design stronger, safer structures that absorb shocks better, protecting people and equipment where durability is key.

Fun Fact: Atzin used to compete in both cross country and track and field while attending junior college.
