After Shadow Investigators
09/25/2020
Hi After Shadow Fans!
I have some good news and bad news. Good news is I was able to make a quick investigation at The Melting Pot recently and picked up some really great evidence as usual. This is a still shot from a visible light video I took on that investigation. This is apparently a purple light anomaly that zooms past my camera a few times. However, at the time, I was filming behind me so I didn't witness it firsthand. I was planning to show the whole video as my opener for Tour of Terror this year but.....
Now for the bad news. Of course with all the COVID restrictions this year, Tour of Terror would be impossible to hold in a safe and enjoyable manner. Both The Melting Pot and After Shadow are saddened by this. We perhaps we're thinking of delaying it but we do not know of course when the restrictions will lift.
There WILL be another Tour of Terror eventually!
Would also love to hear comments on the purple anomaly as well. Lights of this nature are fairly common there. Have you witnessed anything like this anywhere?

Thank you to The Melting Pot and to who all who came out and joined us for this year's Tour of Terror! It was a fantastic year with new and unexpected activity. On our last night (10-28), we got an awesome treat from the ghosts there while taking a series of IR still shots. This shadow figure was captured in the kitchen area just off the corridor to table 63. Some of us believe it may have been the spirit of the building's architect, J.J.B. Benedict, giving us one last awesome moment before the season was over.
We will be posting additional evidence as we find it.
See you next year and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Technology in the paranormal field has be slowly advancing but with each technique and device developed we have been getting closer to a more open communication with spirits.
With regards to spirit voices before the modern investigation age, a human could only truly experience paranormal audio through disembodied voices which for most were most likely few and far between and usually unexpected.
Then along came recording devices including phonographs, magnetic tape and the modern digital voice recorder. Here was a monumental leap in communication and although still not perfect, these methods allowed for a somewhat more two-way communication channel.
The advent of the Spirit Box using a hacked radio thinned the veil even further between our worlds, although, the unfortunate side effect was listening to constant radio static.
ASI recently acquired a GeoBox, in this case "The Portal" as modified by Steve Huff from Huffington Paranormal. We were just able to get it out and use it in an investigation this last weekend at The Melting Pot in Littleton, CO. We were absolutely amazed by this device! Although any input may be introduced to the set up, we used a Spirit Box as the source. The system takes in the audio source, runs it through a noise reduction unit and take the remaining noises to a reverb device and amplifies what is left over.
Upon setup at one of the more haunted locations in the restaurant, the energy was buzzing around the device. Much like the latest iPhone our familiar ghosts were swarming around to check out the newest gadget.
Our first night, a public night(10.6.17), the ghosts were playing with the new device and even told one of our investigators not to change the settings(!). It was somewhat quiet that night but by the second night, also a public night (10.7.17), "The Portal" seemed to have opened more. In addition to clear voices, background noises from THEIR environment were audible. The location in the restaurant know popularly as table 63, was at one time holding cells for the local Littleton police department. While speaking with the spirits there, our investigator reported hearing cell doors slamming shut! Even spirits who normally would stay in one area (Keith from the women's restroom) came to this area to speak.
I can say with certainty this is one of the most impressive devices I have worked with so far.
If you are in the Littleton, CO, area come to the Tour of Terror every Friday and Saturday nights through October and join us to check out this device as well as our Spirit Box, Ovilus, SLS Cam, FLIR in addition to multiple EMF detectors and all of our great psychic investigators. Oh, did I mention there is also cheese and chocolate? Call the Melting Pot at (303) 794-5666 for tickets.
