The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Pi Lambda Chapter are serving as a sponsor for a Civic Empowerment event on July 25, 2026. This event is designed to help community members better understand how local government works, the importance of civic involvement, and the resources available to help individuals and families thrive. This event is for first-time voters, community advocates, and those interested in learning more about how decisions by your elected officials impact your daily life. Congratulations are in order for Bro. Kevin Howard who was recently elected as the President of the National Community Development Association which serves over 500 cities and counties in the United States. Bro. Howard is the first person from the State of Arkansas to serve in the position since the organization was started 57 years ago.

Bro. Howard currently serves as the Director of Housing and Neighborhood Programs for the City of Little Rock. Bro. Howard was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through the Delta Sigma Chapter at Grambling State University and is an active member of the Pi Lambda Chapter. #ΑΦΑ
