Rogue From Within

Today, I sit in gratitude as I reflect on who I was, where I've been, and who I am becoming.
My mind keeps going back to that cold day in October 2014, stepping off the Amtrak in Pennsylvania with $50 in my pocket, a 7-year-old and a 6-year-old by my side. They had already been through so much in their short lives challenges most don't face in a lifetime. I took a risk I fully didn't understand at that time. God carried me... and He carried those babies, too. I couldn't see it then, but looking back now, I see nothing but grace.
It's funny how, in the unknown, life still shows up for us; all we have to do is take that step.
I really do need to write this memoir one day✨.
