One of the things you can do (with a little bit of our help) is to change out the Anode Rod in your water heater. There's one pictured below.

Why is changing it out important? Because it avoids costly repair bills down the road if your water heater fails, and can help it last much longer than if you didn't do it.

Plus it's inexpensive, compared to replacing the whole water heater entirely.
