This months weather has been moodier than our volunteers the last week or so and that’s saying something because they’ve been hard at work peeling, pressing, and ironing patches onto our I Love My Dog Expo exclusive merch… burning fingers, poking themselves with fabric hooks, and somehow turning perfectly good purebred looking stencils into slightly chaotic, one eyed “rescue versions.” Honestly, it feels on brand. Heck, maybe it IS our brand. But just like the forecast is finally settling into something warmer and brighter, so are we, because we cannot wait for this weekend’s expo.

And if you’re not following us on Patreon yet, let us introduce you to Frick and Frack. If you’re part of our Foster Crew Companion group on Patreon, they might already be familiar faces, but we’re so excited for everyone else to finally meet them. These tiny brothers came to us frail and struggling, but they’re getting stronger every single day. They are on the small/medium side, size wise. We think they might be Border Collie mixes (heavy on the “think”), but we’re completely certain they’re ridiculously lovable. They’ll be at our expo booth this weekend, along with a few other adoptable pups rotating in and out. Come say hi, meet the pups, and chat with us about some thing we've been doing so far this year and about what the year holds for us.

Our boy Nash showed up right around Christmas, and we thought he’d be unwrapped and adopted faster than a last minute Amazon package, just like his siblings.

But… they're gone and he’s still here.

Just vibing.
Just wagging.
Just being criminally overlooked.

Potty training? Working hard.
Kennel trained? Yep.
Leash manners? Very respectable gentleman energy.
Dogs? Loves ‘em.
Cats? Polite. No drama.

He’s going to be a big boy, but the laid back, steady, “I’ll sit with you on the couch and judge reality TV quietly” kind.
Not every puppy is chaos and zoomies, although he can habe his moments of that too.
Some are just soft souls in big paws.
Nash is that guy.
