1099 Payment: $100 stipend for each approved match observation

Overview of the United Soccer League (USL)

The United Soccer League (USL) is the heartbeat of American soccer. Impacting more than 200 communities across the United States, the USL is the first and only soccer organization in the United States to build a youth-to-professional pathway for both men and women within one ecosystem. That structure includes three professional leagues: USL Super League (women), USL Championship (men), and USL League One (men); two pre-professional leagues: USL League Two (men) and the USL W League (women); and two youth platforms: USL Academy and USL Youth.

Position Purpose

The United Soccer League is seeking a Match Observer (MO) who can represent the USL in a professional and impartial manner in each respective market. The Match Observer is responsible for documenting and reporting club match day procedures and operations, as well as making note of any violations of league guidelines. The MO will also document adherence to competition guidelines from both teams, and report any instances of irresponsible behavior from players, coaches, and staff, both on and off the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

* Evaluate matches during the regular season (March-October) as determined by the USL and any playoff matches if applicable.

* Effectively record and report any minimum standards violations to USL team members.

* Inspect the venue for league and federation compliance.

* Document safety and security incidents and make note of potential liabilities.

* Document location and environment conditions of league broadcast equipment.

* Keep teams accountable in meeting professional standards.

* Record and report any potential disciplinary incidents.

* Adhere to local rules/guidelines on public safety, e.g., wearing a mask or face covering, temperature checks, and social distancing.

Qualifications

* Knowledge of soccer is required.

* Coaching or administrative background in soccer is preferred.

* Able to handle highly confidential material and information that could have substantial impact upon the organization.

* Ability to communicate accurately and meet strict league deadlines.

* Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

* Must be fluent in English; written and verbal.

* Must be 21 years or older.

* Must live within 50 miles of designated market.

* Must have U.S. work authorization.

Important Information for Independent Contractors:

* Match Observers will receive a set amount of $100 USD per successfully observed match.

* As a Match Observer Independent Contractor, you are not considered an employee of USL. Rather, you will function as a vendor to perform match observation.

* Must evaluate (10-12) matches during the regular season (March-October) and any playoff matches if applicable.

Daytime Server at IHOP - 2801 Pine Lake Rd. Ste. E: SUMMARY: Provide prompt, efficient, courteous service to all guests. Service includes greeting, seating, taking and serving orders, clearing dishes and resetting tables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These include the following:

* Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.

* Execute the “Service Success Steps” per the IHOP SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience.

* Handle guest complaints in a timely manner, inquire about the quality of the dining experience, thank guests, and invite them to return.

* Communicate guest food orders and service requests in an accurate and timely manner.

* Memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and plating and menu knowledge.

* Comply with SOP methods in regard to guest checks and maintaining cash control.

* Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room.

* Comply with all local and SOP health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.

* Clear, clean, and reset tables and clean chairs, booths, and floors after guests leave.

* Perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.

* Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines.

* Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or acting supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Prior experience or training is desired, but may not be required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write guest checks and simple correspondence. Ability to read and speak English well enough to understand guest checks, read instructions, and communicate with guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: IHOP training coursework as assigned.
