Discrimination Still Happens in Schools — And It Hurts Educational Outcomes
• Statistic: 91% of LGBTQ+ students report experiencing harassment or assault in school.

• Impact: Students who are bullied are more likely to skip school and feel unsafe, which leads to poorer grades and lower college enrollment rates.
• Story: Miguel, a gay Latino high school senior, was constantly taunted by classmates and ignored by teachers. “Why would I apply for college when I didn’t think I was going to survive high school?” he said.
