"Contrafreeloading is the behaviour seen in most animals that when an animal is offered a choice between free food or identical food that requires effort, the animal prefers the food that requires effort" (Glen Jensen, 1963).

The concept of contrafreeloading leads us to canine enrichment. When food is readily available, the act of food puzzles, ditching the bowl, snuffle mats or stuffable toys are enjoyable to most animals (dogs, raccoons, even CHICKENS!).

Interactive feeding toys activate the pleasure centers in your dog's brain, leading to a happier, more stimulated dog.

Grim enjoying his Honey Pot!

Titan Red Raw formula partially frozen makes for a delicious breakfast that slows down his eating and keeps him busy for mom.

Honey Pot holds about 3/4 cup kibble, but holds a bit more of raw or wet food. Very versatile and tons of ways to use this feeder/toy.
Grim here is still a baby and a bit more particular than his big sis, who will eat hers however.
He gets his overfilled to get him started and it dethaws on the counter for around 15 minutes.
