Are you open and curious to what it’s teaching you? Are you asking, “Why is this happening FOR me” instead of “Why is this happening TO me”?
This quote by Gay Hendricks is one of my favorites:
“The universe will teach us our lessons with the tickle of a feather or the whomp of a sledgehammer, depending on how open we are to learning the particular lesson. Getting stubborn and defensive invites the sledgehammer; getting open and curious invites the feather.” 🪶↔️🔨
In other words, if we do not learn our assigned curriculum the first time(s) around, it will be back - louder and more obnoxious and painful until we pay attention and choose a different course of action.
