We love it when students get to see their own success!

Max was with us for a math intensive before school started, and division was basically his nemesis. We used a lot of manipulatives to help him connect what he writes on the paper to what is actually happening when we divide, and worked on his internalized sense of a number line to help him get comfortable with estimating and using math facts to check his work along the way.

Last Friday, during his last session, he worked three long division problems in a row without any help. As he finished the last one, he looked up at his clinician and exclaimed, "Wait. I'm doing division and it feels easy! What have you done to me?!"

There's nothing so satisfying as seeing a kid succeed at something they used to find entirely overwhelming. We know Max is ready to take on this school year with confidence and the skills he needs to thrive - and we're so so proud of him for putting in the work to develop those processes!
