Therapy Lessons in Anime: Gachiakuta
As promised, the first in several lessons to come that we can gain from watching Gachiakuta.
A primary theme is trash: throwing out items, people, the creation of trash monsters, and recycling.

Rudo shows a care and love for items that are thrown out by others but still have use left in them, and uses his gloves to breathe new life into items to serve a purpose of protecting himself and his friends.
I love this idea that items and people are still usable and loveable even if they've been damaged in some way, and just need a little care and maybe a new purpose or direction. The show looks at this quite literally through both Rudo and Amo who were both given up by their families, placed into difficult situations, and had to learn to rely on themselves. Rudo was pieced back together and given new purpose with the help of Regto and, later the cleaners. And hopefully Amo will be given a new life too.

Stay tuned for more lessons from Gachiakuta!
